When Jac of Dreamscapes by Jac sent us the invitation for her baby’s first birthday, we were instantly hyped. We’ve done a couple of Mexican themed parties before, but we’ve never done a Frida Kahlo one. Her mood board had bold colours, beautiful patterns, and quirky objects, we just had to put them on the cake.
We absolutely loved translating the 2D Frida Kahlo on the invitation into a tall (4″) 3D character. I mean really, how could you not find those eyebrows charming? The Mariachi band was another fun addition to literally top the cake. I’m From the cacti, to the giant taco, I say this cake was a super fun cake, fitting for a super fun party. We’d do it all over again.
