If we really think about it, Little Red Riding Hood is a horror story. A little girl alone in the woods? Why does grandma live in the woods anyway? A wolf that follows her around? Grandma (in some versions of the tale) gets eaten, and has to be chopped out with an axe by a woodsman? As we cheerily tell our little ones this story, it’s easy to forget how frightening it can actually be! haha Despite this realisation, we admit we love Little Red, and her not-so-fairytale story, and we love making her into cake! We hope this adorable post helps you forget further how scary it is to go into the woods alone!
